THIRD CONDITIONAL

We can use the Third Conditional to talk about "impossible conditions". These conditions are impossible because they are in the past and we cannot change what has happened.
  • If I had worked harder at school, I would have got better grades. 
  1.  Put the verbs in brackets into the correct tenses.
      1 If I had known that you were in hospital, I  (visit) you.
           2 If I had won the lottery, I  (travel) around the world.
           3 If you  (arrive) ten minutes earlier, you would have got a seat.
           4 You would have seen my garden as its best if you  (be) here last week.
           5 If I had known the answer, I  (raise) my hand.
           6 I shouldn't have believed it if I  (not see) it with my own eyes.
