It is never to find your first job, particularly in times. The problem for young applicants is that you usually need work experience to be in the job market- but how to get work experience if companies prefer to employ people who have an employment history?

First of all, it is to remember that all work experience – including work experience- is . One way to gain work experience, therefore, is to do some kind of voluntary work with a business in the field that interests you, or perhaps a charity organisation. If you are interested in working with animals, for example, you could ask to volunteer at your local clinic or dog shelter. In doing so, you would greatly improve your chances of finding a job.

Another way to gain experience to add to your CV and have something to discuss at job interviews is to help with a family business. If you have a relative who runs a shop, for example, lend a hand there. This way you will gain a range of skills.

Alternatively, you could get more involved in your hobbies or interests. Why not take a more role in a sport or social club you attend? Then you can say you have experience of organising events and being in a leadership role, for example.

In summary, getting actively involved in any organisation will help you succeed in today’s job market.
