PASSIVE VOICE
· A sentence is in the active voice when the subject does the action.
· A verb is in the passive voice when it shows what is done to the subject.
e.g.They make paper from wood.(active)
Paper is made from wood.(passive)
*The passive is formed with a form of the auxilary ‘be’,followed by the past participle of a main verb.
*Only verbs that have an object can have a passive form.Verbs with two objects can have two passive forms.
Present Simple Passive
e.g.She writes poems.
Poems are written by her.
