World Book and Copyright Day is on the 23rd of April year. It is also called International Day of the Book or World Book Days. UNESCO it in 1995 to promote reading, publishing and to raise awareness of and protect copyright. There are several theories to explain why it on April 23. One is because William Shakespeare was and died on this day. Another is because of a festival held 1923 in Spain to honor the death of Spanish writer Cervantes.
