The Ozone Hole

Before doing the tasks watch the video and consider what you see.

Part One: Comprehension
The ozone layer is getting thinner or actually being destroyed, creating the so-called ozone hole.
The ozone hole over the Antarctic increases every year; this is particularly dangerous because of the lack of protection against ultraviolet rays, which cause sunburn and even skin cancer.
The gases used in aerosols, refrigerator liquids and plastic boxes for junk food*, which are called CFCs, are responsible for the destruction of the ozone layer. But jet planes are also responsible. As a matter of fact, jet planes usually fly above 10,000 metres, in the top level of the atmosphere, where ozone (O3) exists. As jet engines consume oxygen, in the form of either O2 or O3 they also contribute to the growth of the ozone hole.
