One of the most amazing animals on earth today is the giant panda, it can also be called a panda.� Pandas are beautiful animals with black and white hair.� They only�live in a very small area of the earth.� They can be found in the mountainous bamboo forests of South Western China.� It is very sad that pandas are now an endangered species.� This means that there are not very many of them living today.� Currently, there are only 1000 pandas living in the wild.� There are also 127 of them living in zoos in China, the United States, Mexico, Germany, Japan and North Korea.� One of the reasons pandas are endangered is they are very shy creatures.� They love to be alone, they don't even like to be around other pandas.� This is a problem because as people move into the mountains where the pandas live, the pandas are too shy to find food.��When they run out of their favorite food, which is bamboo, they starve.� Pandas need to eat a lot of food in order to survive.� They spend 12 hours every day eating bamboo shoots and bamboo leaves.� The Chinese government is trying very hard to save the pandas.� Hopefully more pandas will live in China soon!�
